Take a look, it's in a book...

Well I’m a day late for my weekly Wednesday Blog Sessions. Last night I sat at the computer totally brain dead, I blame the husband for distracting me ‘cause we were watching movies. But it’s all good. I woke up this morning with the perfect topic on my mind.

It’s that time again, the time my fellow ‘nerds’ and I love. Comic-Con time! That’s right, Wizard Con is right around the corner and what does that mean? All the sane people of Texas (Including the hubs and myself) flock to Austin to wait in endless lines for insane amount of hours just to get a moment with our favorite celebs.

When I sat down a few months ago and looked over the line up my heart skipped beats as I almost passed out with excitement. THE NEXT GENERATION CAST! Of course I’m like, “T we are getting ALLLLL of their autographs!!” ‘cause he’s the best kinda hubby he’s of course like, “Whatever you want.” Now, a month away after adding up the endless costs of these wonderful actors and the $500 I want to spend does seem a bit…over the top.

So I must pick and choose…who is it that Ashley can’t live without……

This is very difficult because growing up one of my favorite memories with my mom was our Friday Night TNG and Tales from the Crypt shows we would watch. We would curl up in her bed and for that time be captivated with drama. LOVED IT! So of course saying I have to weed down my selection to a couple makes me grouchy.

At the end of the day, there is only two logical choices…one man cause he is just awesome and the other because he gave reading purpose and made it fun to so many children in the 80’s.

“Butterflies in the sky, I can go twice as high….” Yup LeVar Burton and his buddy Brent Spiner, they will get my attention come Wizard Con. Now, I just have to think up questions to ask…

Blood Purple, coming out September 25th, will you be one of the first to experience a whole new Vampire?

  1. Jealous! I got to meet Jimmy Doohan (Scotty) when I was 16 at a Trek convention. He was not an engineer, but he found himself reading technical manuals ... LOL ... and he also tried many different accents for the producers before they settled on the Scottish brogue. He said he even did one scene in Pirate just for laughs. :)

  2. You should have seen me three years ago when I met Jason Dohring I was so tongue tied it was insane. I waited all day and came back the next day. Hubby thought my friend and I were stalking him, we were but still. I go all fan girl crazy around celebs, I totally can't wait. I love Scotty!!! I wish I could get Capt Picard but he's 75 bucks and I need to be practical
