Blurb:
The first installment of Richelle Mead’s Age of X series has all the elements that have made her bestselling Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series such megasuccesses: sexy, irresistible characters; romantic and mythological intrigue; and relentless action and suspense.

In a futuristic world nearly destroyed by religious extremists, Justin March lives in exile after failing in his job as an investigator of religious groups and supernatural claims. But Justin is given a second chance when Mae Koskinen comes to bring him back to the Republic of United North America (RUNA). Raised in an aristocratic caste, Mae is now a member of the military’s most elite and terrifying tier, a soldier with enhanced reflexes and skills.

When Justin and Mae are assigned to work together to solve a string of ritualistic murders, they soon realize that their discoveries have exposed them to terrible danger. As their investigation races forward, unknown enemies and powers greater than they can imagine are gathering in the shadows, ready to reclaim the world in which humans are merely game pieces on their board.

Review:
My first thought is, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOW CAN YOU JUST END IT LIKE THAT!!!! I just honestly don't know why people are giving it such low ratings. There was NOTHING disappointing about this book. Except that it ended. I absolutely loved this book more than any book I think I have read this year. This book is easily going to become my new favorite series by Richelle Mead. It was fresh, exciting and spot on for entertainment. It was so enjoying reading a book that wasn't full of paranormal. As much as I love that genre and her other series this one just had these different elements that made it over the top fantastic.

I was so nervous picking it up since I had read so many mixed thoughts. I am however glad that I read it. She better have the next book out soon because it has so much unfinished business I just need to know about.

This book snagged me from the get go. Hook line and sinker. It was everything I expected from Ms. Mead and then some.

Thanks for writing such a fantastic book. Keep Em Coming!
