Spring Is In The Air

Spring is in the air and what does that mean for you? A lot of allergies and rain! If you are anything like me. LOL - I kid - I love spring, it's a great time because the blooms are starting and everyone seems to be in a better mood. One of my favorite memories of spring growing up was the end of a school year. Spring always signified the last 9 weeks of school, the last stent of homework, the last bit of stress, before summer break and FREEDOM! That's what I remember most with looking back on spring time.

Another thing I should add about spring time is all of the new movies. You start to see the trailers for the big summer block busters, the ads showing you what's going to be hot. I was just at the movies the other day and saw the trailer for Iron Man 3 - it deff made me look forward to seeing it. Then there was the Star Trek movie coming out the weekend before my birthday - that's going to be awesome I just know it. Yes yes deep down I am a Star Trek geek - dont laugh.

Speaking of geek stuff - this spring I am going to be attending Houston's ComicPalooza, AS A VENDOR! I'm very excited about this as I will have my own section of a table at to be included in the Artist Ally. It is kinda like, spring brings your hopes and dreams right to your finger tips.

And speaking of dreams ... one of my major dreams has come true, my first book in print is arriving March 25th. So make sure you stop by and pre order today!

There is a prize for stopping by my blog today, if you leave a comment and join my blog then I will randomly select one commenter to receive a free copy of My new book, Maverick Touch: The Cat.

There is a grand prize at the end of this tour, a large ebook package for one lucky person who leaves a comment.

Creatures of legend, of fable and myth, their very history and nature have allowed them to walk side by side with humans since time immemorial. They are warriors, they are hunters, and they are Algula. Vampire. And in their own midst, a battle is brewing for supremacy, for dominance, that can and will affect all around them. If a dream is a wish your heart makes, can it hear those things we want even if we don’t what they are? When sorrow brings young Lucy home to a land full of mystery, steeped in tradition and coloured with unspoken magic, she finds herself re-evaluating her life and her own place in it. Things are never what they seem and people are seldom what you THINK them to be if all you base it on is what your eyes see and not what your soul knows. 5. Thanks for the giveaway! Spring is in the air, but unfortunately living in Upstate NY, it is not even close to arriving. It snowed again at my house just tonight. I'm looking forward to the warm weather and longer days though. Spring is the time of love and my favorite romance novel is entitled "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. It's not strictly a romance novel as it's found in the literature section of a bookstore, but it has strong romantic elements. Jamie Fraser is my favorite romantic hero as he's strong, sensitive, honorable and slightly flawed. Sometimes his pride gets in the way of making the right decision, but in the end, he'd do anything for Claire.
I love this giveaway hop! And, I plan to keep on hopping!

    1. My husband told me I needed to read "Outlander" I just haven't yet. I've heard great things about it but with Writing there is only so much free time for reading and it seems lately I've been reading books to help my writing. LOL. Glad you enjoyed the hop!

    1. I really miss the 'freedom' as an adult. So much you take for granted as a young adult/teenager. Ahh if I could only go back. Thanks for the comment!

  7. Congrats! You're first book in print is arriving today??! Is it a different feeling for an authors, having a book in print versus an ebook?

    1. I can't speak for all authors but yes it is a very different feeling. When the proof book came in from the vendor I was like oh holy crap! Holding it, opening, it was just amazing. That's not to take away from the very first moment when BLOOD PURPLE was downloaded onto my Kindle. I had my husband take pictures of me opening the package, every step of the way. You can check out my facebook page I posted me holding Maverick Touch: The Cat. I am waiting for all of the preorders to arrive in the mail so I can sign them and send them out to all the people who ordered and I think that will be the moment that I feel like I have really come into the whole published author business. If that made sense. Thanks for the comment!
