Review

I want to first say that it has been very hard lately to keep me sitting on the couch not wanting to leave until I have completed the book. Ms. Haigwood did exactly that. I really loved this novel. The whole plot line and story kept me wanting more. I don't know whose story I want to read more, Josilyn's or Issah's or any ofthe other characters that I just met.

I really think this story was well balanced consideringhow many characters were inside of this. It was quite impressive.

I have a long line of TBR list but the following books are deff going to be added to it. I loved how this author did the first person vs third person in this novel. It was so well balanced. You can tell her craft has been fined tuned.

I really recommend this story to anyone who loves a good twist on religion and mythology. It was a very religious story yet didn't jam religion down your throat and I find that a very hard thing to accomplish.

I am giving this novel an easy 5 star rating because not only could I not put it down but it was so unique and in a class all of its own.

  1. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I thought I'd start a chapter or two before going to sleep. I finished reading the book just before dawn.
